Q. Rev. Dr. G. Brown, in Bronx, NY, asked:

I need a fundraising plan to make up for declining member tithes, pledges and offerings, what would you recommend?
Response by Valerie Samuel
I recommend that you put together your annual fundraising plan, meet with your staff, board and committee chairs and get them to buy into the plan initially.  Once they are comfortable with the plan then it is time to communicate your vision to the entire membership to educate them on the goals and ask for their support. Remember to ask for volunteers mainly this time of year because people are looking for great causes to devote time and resources.
